Dark Matter-Core Shock Blast

The Dark Matter Shock Gun is a slightly-less powerful ghostbusting tool used to stun and exponentially slow a ghost at close-range by filling corporeal entities with the solid-ish matter. A positive graviton filter is used to help keep the busting tool from overheating too quickly.

Also, the Shock Gun runs on an independent power core (Dark Matter), thus allowing Ghostbusters to chase after ghosts without the heavy proton packs on their backs. While not quite as powerful as the reactors used in the Proton Packs, the core on this weapon can still provide a punch.

Like any standard shotgun, however, this weapon does take a few seconds to recharge. Unlike shotguns, the Shock Gun has an eight-shot limit before needing a four-second recharge.

The Mk III version also has a built-in P.K.E. detector, allowing the ghostbuster to move more quickly without so much gear slowing them down.
