Physical Description | Tall, athletically muscular and very laidback. Carries himself with a nonchalant easy confidence. Scruffy hair, comfy clothes, usually a worn pair of blue jeans, cowboy boots and a shirt, but can muster up a spiffy look when the situation demands it. More likely to be found mooching about in the comfortable zone, though has an old GB uniform jacket that he favours. It used to be his father's jacket from the old GB ride and Ford likes to believe it's real, but isn't sure. He got one of the Founders to autograph it and that memory always makes him smile. |

Personality & Traits
General Overview | Answers to: Ford. If you’ve known him a really long time, you can get away with Tchai (pronounced Ch-eye) Loves his job with a passion, very happy with it in almost every way. Hates being the last to know something important. Enthusiastic, but in a supportive rather (completely) obnoxious way. He’s had the down years, and they’re behind him for the moment. Right now Ford is living his dream and he’s absolutely sure that his time is coming. Fortune and glory, kid. |
|
Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: Stubborn ability to stay positive and keep a team going Great sense of direction Decent sixth sense where ghosts are concerned Streetwise & practically minded Weaknesses: Crashes extra hard when he does lose faith in himself Immature/Theatrical Overzealous and obsessive Rebellious against certain authorities |
|
Ambitions | Take each day, one at a time and squeeze what you need from it.
Hobbies & Interests | Likes to crash in on the fake ghosthunting scene and has a somewhat cult following in those circles. Not always in a good way, but Ford doesn't mind. Music - listening to it and singing badly to it while driving. Very laidback on romantic commitment, but doesn't take advantage of people either. An encounter's duration doesn't have to be long (in fact he prefers them on the shorter side) but it has to be mutual and he doesn't take (or expect) any ill feeling when it's over. |
Personal History | Ford grew up with grifter parents in a supportive but nomadic carnival environment. His parents ran The Hauntington Hotel (Ghostbuster themed ride) so a very young Ford grew up with all the props. His folks made a lot of money from the general public in those early years. They milked the first couple of years after the big Saving of the World events and then eventually shifted into a more traditional ghost train fare when the interest waned. Ford always told people he saw dead people and heard voices, but given his upbringing no one really ever believed him. That was fair, because 95% of the time he was simply seeking attention, money or an audience, but he cried wolf too many times, and when he really did see a ghost, no one took him seriously. Aged ten, with a bunch of hokey old dusty jury rigged props, Ford wandered into a haunted ghost mine with his friends and they all came out 48hrs later covered in dark blue slime. They hadn’t managed to get any more proof than that, but now they were hooked. Ford and his best buddy Erik went into the ‘ghost hunting’ business after that, calling on people and milking the gullible, the paranoid and the crazy in small towns all across America. They hit towns within reach of the travelling carnival and made some extra pocket money with some clever tricks and inventive story-telling. More than enough to eventually get some real gear to replace the fakes they’d been relying on to earn cash along the way. Occasionally they even managed to actually find a real ghost, and by the time the duo were in their early twenties, they attracted the attention of Ghostbusters International when they chased an electrical entity into a reservoir. Erik died, but a devastated and very focused Ford was drafted into GI and given official training as a buster. Being dead didn’t stop Erik entirely though, he’s still lurking around as a low level spirit guide for Ford. |

Education | Ford's education has mostly been from the 'university of life' but he's an avid reader of real books, especially the old dusty ones people shouldn't really be reading. He has multiple book shop and cult contacts across the US from his travelling days. Does a lot of online research too, but keeps a earmarked copy of Tobin's Spirit Guide close. Erik is another source of information from the other side, but not always a reliable one time-wise. Erik decides when to show up and what to share, and can sometimes be a bit of a dick about the whole getting dead situation.
