He keeps his hair short for the most part. His face is always clean shaven and his body has scars from his time as a thug for a few different mob people in his youth. He is all about looks. When he is on personal time, he map be in dress pants and a silk shirt. But if he is doing manual labor, he has a tenancy to wear khaki pants and a sleeveless white shirt. He always has a crucifix around his neck and when off duty, he wears his wedding band and a ring bought from a rich uncle.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Carmine “The bear” Mannarino is a stereotype. He is born and bred in the Bronx. In his early teens till he got out of Highschool, he did work for organized crime. Though few know about it. He tries to stay on the legal side of the road these days. He is all about family and loyalty to his Ghostbusters team. He is the first into a bad situation, and he tires to be the last one out.

He is still married (15 years now) to his soulmate, Lupe. The two of them are still deeply in love. He knows she is the brains and he is the brawn. He may seem uptight. He just doesn't get humor and sarcasm goes over his head. It has been suggested that he could be on the spectrum. Although after mentioning that, he had to be pulled away from the doctor, who he though was insulting him and his masculinity.
Strengths & Weaknesses + Very strong

Personal History Carmine started with a wonderful life. Sure his parents lived in a really rundown apartment building. But his grandparents lived in the next building. When his brother was born, their mother died in childbirth. His father couldn't make it without his wife. So the family found him hanging in the bathroom weeks later. Carmine and his siblings went to his grandparents. School was hard for Carmine. A lot of kids teased him, because he just couldn't get the jokes. When he turned ten, his Uncle Tony and Uncle Guido taught him to fight. They had the young boy lifting weights to get his strength up. This became his passion. The fights began to thin out. Any he got into usually ended up in him winning. But his Uncles taught him to not be a bully. He became a protector of the small kids.

In his freshmen year of high school, he began working for a man his Uncle Vito knew. By this point he was muscular. And took no shit from anyone. For the next four years he would do both his school work, and work for Vito's friend. Any job he could. His grandparents didn't like the life he was leading, but they couldn't persuade him to leave the life of crime.

His senior year he met Lupe in a government class. The tough guy was smitten and at first tried to get her attention using the male chauvinistic ways of his family. One of his buddy's in the gang pointed out the flaws. He lost the tough guy side when he was around her and soon Lupe and Carmen were an item. A year after graduating from High school, he was breaking into a building for his uncle's friend. The last job he would ever do for him. This was when he met the ghostbusters. Carmine and his friends were being tossed around by a mean poltergeist. The ghost was busy flinging stuff at both the ghostbusters and at Carmine and his associates. Carmine was pinned with fear. Unsure what to do, and too scared to run. As one of the ghost busters got hurt and was thrown near him, Carmine made up his mind.

He was the only one of the crew to leave, the other two having been killed when the spirit threw a large desk at them, followed by a heavy safe. Carmine slipped out before the Ghostbusters could see to him, on his way out he pocketed the small gem he had been sent in for. Shortly after that, the man who had sent him to that building began to be haunted by a very malevolent ghost. As the ghostbusters showed to help, Carmine rushed to help them. Once again they got hurt, and once more he helped out.

Carmine left his life of crime, without warning his new bride. The man he worked for was thankful at Carmine saving his life that he allowed the streetwise thug to leave. Lupe left her families shop and began helping Ghostbusters as a mechanic, until she got pregnant. Through the next fourteen years, he stayed with the Bronx team of Ghostbusters. Lupe worked off and on with the team.

The founders thought a change of scenery would help him take the move towards more responsibility. So they sent him to Raleigh. His wife put in for the transfer, as to not lose her husband to southern women.
