This old, rundown building was once a museum. However, with the 2008 recession, the station went into a state of disrepair. Now, it is a historical landmark in need of some love.

Additional Information

Location Raleigh, NC
Description This building is a 2-story bus station with a bomb shelter-grade basement. In the 1960's the old Greyhound bus station saw a lot of traffic. Now, walls have been added, plumbing upgraded, and electrical replaced. Outside, it stands as a historical landmark of the city. But inside, this building is ready to perform far different tasks than what it was originally designed for.

The first floor has been redesigned to handle the day-to-day business of ghostbusters. Such needs include:

- Conference Room
- Station Chief's Office
- Guest/Station Lounge
- Dispatcher's Office

The second floor is focused on sleeping, eating, and bathing areas for the station's staff.

Two bunk rooms each house up to 6 people and each bunk room is equipped with oak hardwood full-bed bunks with built-in trundles and drawers. Flatpanel TVs also line the walls of these rooms, for recreational entertainment. Both bunk rooms also have 3 tall-standing wardrobes to hang dress clothing.

A community bathroom with multiple showers, sinks, and toilets allows the station's staff to meet their basic hygiene needs quickly. Plus the station CO has their own private room with adjoining bathroom.
